Week of September 25th
This Monday and Tuesday we'll be reviewing the practice questions from last year's AP test, and checking ourselves against real sample responses. The second half of the week we'll be back into our exploration of literacy narratives with Richard Rodriguez, Malcolm X, Amy Tan, and David Sedaris. Homework reminders:
Period Four
- Due Monday: Revision of the AP essay of your choice. Attach to your first draft packet.
- Due Tuesday: Answer the Vocabulary Unit One exercises and read through the synthesis responses so we can talk about them in class.
- Due Wednesday: Read and annotate Malcolm X and Richard Rodriguez essays for discussion. We'll review vocab responses today.
- Due Thursday: Read and annotate Amy Tan and David Sedaris essays (tentative).
- Due Friday: To be announced.

Another Note: The tickets to the Mountains Beyond Mountains event in Cambridge have been snatched up. I'll raffle away mine next week ... in the meantime, consider going to one of the great Arlington Reads events - see the poster in our room for details.
